Ingredients

  • 600 g pork shoulder or stewing meat
  • 250 g rice
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 800 ml stock
  • marjoram
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into cubes about 2 cm in size. Finely chop onions and garlic.

  3. Briefly stir in the paprika powder and tomato paste without burning the peppers. Fill with broth and add marjoram.
  4. Simmer gently, covered, for about 45 minutes. If the meat is still firm, braise longer before adding the rice.
  5. Stir in the rice and cook gently for about 15-20 minutes according to the package instructions. Check the fluid level regularly and add hot water if necessary.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
