More than a recipe

Croatia.
A good reason
to eat together.

The Adriatic coast and inland areas have very different kitchens. Fish and olive oil tell a different story from hearty braises; both are part of Croatia’s diversity.

Our existing starting point is Sarma: stuffed cabbage rolls associated with Balkan cooking. Such dishes are prepared in several countries, so the collection preserves the exact recipe name.

The collection combines classic references and personal variations. Origin labels follow the existing cookbook and do not claim an exclusive origin.

A little cooking know-how

Good ingredients.
Simply explained.

Three tips to get you started. Each recipe gives its precise quantities, cooking times and variations.

Preparing cabbage

Leaves need to be flexible before filling. Carefully flatten thick ribs if needed.

Handling filling safely

Keep raw meat chilled and use separate work surfaces. The filling must be heated completely through during cooking.

Gentle braising

Gentle heat protects the rolls. Liquid and cooking time follow the recipe.
