More than a recipe

Colombia.
A good reason
to eat together.

Corn, bread and a juicy filling can combine in many ways. Colombian cuisines offer great regional variety; this small collection deliberately begins with a personal interpretation.

The existing recipe is Sven’s arepa-style street-food pita with chicken, corn and cheese sauce. Its mixed origin is “Colombia / Europe”. A pita is not a traditional arepa; that distinction remains visible on the page and recipe.

The collection combines classic references and personal variations. Origin labels follow the existing cookbook and do not claim an exclusive origin.

A little cooking know-how

Good ingredients.
Simply explained.

Three tips to get you started. Each recipe gives its precise quantities, cooking times and variations.

Distinguishing arepa and pita

Arepas use a suitable corn dough. The existing pita recipe is explicitly an adaptation.

Keeping filling juicy

A balanced sauce complements the filling. Too much liquid quickly soaks the bread.

Warming bread last

Fill and serve the warm base straight away, with prepared components ready.
